1. Definitions
- "Before You Click", "we", "us": the provider of the Before You Click software
- "Service": the Before You Click software, including Browser Extension and web dashboard
- "User", "you", "your": the person or organization using the Service
- "Account": your registered user account
2. Acceptance of terms
By using the Service, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
3. Description of the Service
Before You Click is software that helps you prevent irreversible digital mistakes by warning you before you perform actions like sending emails. The Service:
- Analyzes communications locally on your device
- Displays warnings for potential risks
- Gives you the choice to proceed or edit

Before You Click is a tool and not a guarantee. The software cannot detect all mistakes and is not liable for errors that are allowed through. You remain responsible for the communications you send.
4. Account
4.1 Registration
To use certain features, you must create an Account. You guarantee that the information you provide is accurate and complete.
4.2 Security
You are responsible for securing your Account credentials. Report suspicious activity immediately.
5. Subscriptions and payment
5.1 Free version
The free version offers limited functionality and may be adjusted or discontinued at any time.
5.2 Paid subscriptions
- Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually
- Payment is made in advance via credit card (processed by Stripe)
- Prices exclude VAT unless otherwise stated
- We may adjust prices with 30 days prior notice
5.3 Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time. You retain access to paid features until the end of the current billing period. No refunds are given for unused days.
6. Permitted use
You may NOT use the Service to:
- Conduct illegal activities
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or copy the Service
- Resell the Service without permission
- Circumvent security measures
- Interfere with other users
7. Intellectual property
Before You Click and all related software, logos, and content are owned by Before You Click or its licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service.
8. Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Please see our Privacy Policy for information about how we handle your data.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law:
- The Service is provided "as is" without warranties
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the past 12 months
- We are not liable for errors not detected by the software
10. Indemnification
You indemnify Before You Click against claims, damages, and costs (including attorney fees) arising from your use of the Service or breach of these terms.
11. Changes
We may modify these terms. For material changes, we will notify you 30 days in advance. Continued use after the change means acceptance.
12. Termination
We may terminate your access to the Service for breach of these terms. You can delete your Account at any time via the settings.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by Belgian law. Disputes are submitted to the courts of Brussels, Belgium.
